I wanna call 2015 as “Vanilla ice cream with lots of toppings”. Because 2015 was a literal roller coaster for me. Please excuse this blog post because this post is like 2 months late and dot dot dot #BLESSED.
2015 made me. It was tough and mean and at the same time happy, literally both ends. 2015 taught me a lot of things that I didn’t expect and overwhelming. To be honest, Last January 1, 2015, I really don’t know what to do because I was really sad (bluer than blue, sadder than sad) until I don’t know. I started the year crying, I cried during the morning, I cried in the afternoon and before bedtime. I didn’t want to move, to do anything because – S A D. I got depressed until to the point of I cry at public places and public vehicles, just because of ____. Until I got to learn how to be happy from the simple and small things I see around me. Like this soft-served and macaron. It reminded me that life can be sweet too.
Ukulele has been a big part of my 2015 life because it made my ears, eyes and mind open that I still can learn and play music even I at this age.
I also can’t believe that modern calligraphy and drawing will be one of my staple hobbies and luckily make money from it, especially calligraphy.
I met a handful of people who touched my life. Some stayed and some are just for a moment but it’s not about the duration but it’s about the moments that happened that should be treasured.
I am so blessed to meet a person who is very genuine like Sir Johann Bona. I met Sir Johann at a talk in UP-Diliman where we are both speakers for UP-AVCom. I thank fate for letting me know sir Johann because Sir Johann is more than a photography mentor to me he is also a friend, love doctor(HAHA), a life coach and an ahia. SUPER #BLESSED TO BE A PART OF TEAM JOHANN!
And because of #TeamJohann, aside from meeting Sir Johann, I also knew Jet! Aside from nurse/photographer who always helps me with my photography gigs, Jet always encourages me to a lot of things. And also my Mentor-mates Benj and Adel na game parati to do things!
There’s this person that made me realize that it’s ok to interact with people you completely don’t know. It somewhat served as a wake-up call for me that there`s a lot of people in this world that you can meet and be friends with
I thank God for letting me meet new friends and rekindle old ones after a very long time.
I really can’t believe that I got to contribute for Preview Magazine and StyleBible.Ph. It’s really a big highlight of my year because Preview believed in my craft and still crying out of joy because #AchievementUnlocked/dream fulfilled. 2015 let me believe that dreams do come true… I’m still out of words until now but I will always keep this inside my heart.

People come and go. People don’t change but their ideas do and we can’t do anything about it. Even the person you think that won’t leave your side will leave you. Even if you exerted a lot of effort, sometimes it just doesn’t really work. I learned that it’s ok to expect, it’s ok to cry, it’s ok to be slow, it’s ok to be happy, it’s ok to love yourself. Self-love is really a need before you give out love to other people. Because without love for oneself, what will you give to other people when it is time.
2015 has been a real game changer of my life. It is a unique year because a lot of unexpected things happened. From heartaches to dream fulfillment, it has been really overwhelming up to this day. I am very thankful to God for all the blessings that I received this year. To be honest, it still feels surreal to learn a lot of things that I thought I already know.
